IIO Founders were nursery and primary teachers in Rwamagana City, Eastern Province of Rwanda. During end of year holidays, they launched a volunteering program of teaching rural kids in Ngoma District, Eastern Province of Rwanda to find out whether rural kids can learn and excel, if given the opportunity, like their counterparts in towns. Among 56 kids who responded to the call, 47 were not in school and 9 were prematurely attending a nearby primary school. Throughout the program, the attendance was very inconsistent due to clear, unclear, or no reason at all.MORE ABOUT US
Apart from clear reasons like sickness, and poverty, it seemed parents did not really consider the vitality of a preschool education to the future learning of their children. On Christmas 2013, the paper-crowned stunning kids accompanied by their parents matched across Nyarwanya village towards IGA room, where they had a wonderful speech day. One of potential barriers to our education is that children don’t have enough classrooms. Apart from having big classroom sizes, a bad whether always brings a horrible experience, both to the kids and their teachers. However, we believe to reduce classroom huge sizes and build more classrooms for an effective and visionary education. Feed kids: We normally have school feeding programs and some projects supporting them. Currently, our kids are taking porridge at school, though we wish to add bread soon. In the near future, we have scheduled projects like “an egg, a day”, as well as “My Friday fish at home”. These are the projects that will help children to get brain-waking nutrients as well as growing more physically.MORE ABOUT US
Create an environment that favors an excellent physical, spiritual, and socio-intellectual growth of rural children from their early age, by giving them a quality and friendly education, refining their nutrition, as well as advocating for those with NCDs and innate diseases for an effective healthcare.
